The Star Magic of Marilyn Monroe

It's no wonder that Marilyn became one of the most celebrated actresses of our time. She was born with the planet Venus almost exactly 60° away from the planet Jupiter

In Astrology, 60° is know as a 'Sextile'. A sextile aspect works much like the 120° Trine aspect does. In a Trine, you easily blend the two energies of the planets involved--and your super lucky with the talents each planet brings with the qualities of its sign placement.

But but with the 'Sextile' well, you got what it takes you just have to push it a little.  Below is Marilyn's birth chart. Below her chart is the story how Marilyn 'pushed it a little' to arrive at the destiny that was written in her Stars.

First, lets learn that Marilyn's Venus, the planet of Love and Beauty, was 28° of Aries on the day of her 6/1/1926 birth; and the exact time of her 9:30 AM birth the stage was to land Venus in the 9th House of publishing. So it's no wonder that photographs of Marilyn Monroe have been published over and over again, probably more than any other Hollywood actress.

Now, Aries is an aggressive sign, and when Venus is in Aries, that's aggressive in Love, and it never gives up on Love either. One of Marilyn's most famous quotes goes something like, "To love and be loved". No matter what, when one relationship failed, she would try again. That's Venus in Aries. And, Don't you think it is just perfect timing that Marilyn was 28 years old when she divorced Joe DiMaggio all because he didn't like the photograph of her dress (Venus) blow'in up over a street grate from the film, "The Seven Year Itch".

But, not only was Marilyn aggressively ardent in her Love relationships, she was also aggressively passionate in her pursuit to be a Movie Star. This is exactly how it was in March of 1951 when Marilyn was nearing her 26th birthday, which by the way, is the degree of her natal Jupiter at 26° Pisces.

It was at this time when Marilyn took control over her own destiny to be a big movie star. The story goes, according to Brown and Barham in their book, 'Marilyn: The Last Take' that it became apparent to Marilyn that she was not getting the attention she wanted from Fox studio in making her star, so she went after it herself, tactically.

Not only did she stage publicity stunts outside the studio appearing on the arms of an array of famous men, but she decided to go over the head of Fox's production chief, Darryl Zanuck who didn't think Marilyn had what it took to be another Jean Harlow. But, Marilyn heard that the president of Twenty Century FOX, Spyros Skouras, was going to be at an exhibitors luncheon, and she decided at that point to take matters into her own hands, Marilyn style.

Now, remember earlier I told you Marilyn's Venus is Sextile to Jupiter. Well, now I'm going to tell you that the planet Jupiter makes everything bigger. And I'll also reveal to you now that Venus, along with beauty, also rules our clothes. So Marilyn, on hearing about the coming of Skouras, sought out William Travilla, Fox costume designer, to say, "...I need a special dress".

According to Brown and Barham, the dress and the few minutes she had to get Skouras attention, paid off. Brown and Barham tell it like this ...

"...Monroe decided to demonstrate publicly that Skouras already had just such a star under contract ---and that she wasn't being used. When the exhibitors' luncheon has been under way for ninety minutes, and when the theater owners had had their fill of Anne Baxter, Jeanne Crain and Clifton Webb, there was commotion at the door of the Fox commissary as Monroe, sewn into the Travevilla gown, sauntered down the stairs.

With the still photographers gathered around her, Monroe took an empty chair at the huge table of theater men from the Midwest. "They leaned forward eargerly and asked again and again, "And what pictures are you going to be in, Miss Monroe?" Marilyn just fluttered her eyelashes and said, "You'll have to ask Mr. Skouras".

As you can guess, soon after Skouras ordered Zanuck to give Marilyn parts, "...in any film with a role for a beautiful blonde" he said. She was now the age of her Jupiter, 26, and she had her first starring role in the movie, "Niagara". Whats funny is that Marilyn was famous for never being on time, but that did happen here when her destiny finally arrived, she was right on time as it was written in her stars.

The start of Marilyn's modeling career was also written in her Stars in the degrees of her Venus at 28° of Aries. The date of 8/2, which is August 2nd, is the day in which at the age of 19 Marilyn applied to the Blue Book Modeling Agency---and, by the way, Marilyn's Moon measured 19° of Aquarius

The beauty in seeing the stars' measurement align with facts of Marilyn's life is astonishing. Especially when you know that each planet has its own orbital speed in which it moves around the Sun. And if Marilyn was born a day earlier or a day later---her STAR NUMBERS would be different.

Here are some more examples of the amazing and uncanny accuracy of timing between Marilyn's life and her Star Numbers.

The MOON at 19° of Aquarius in Marilyn's birth chart can also be interpreted as measuring 319° of total celestial longitude. NOTE: The Zodiac is made of 360° in which it is divided up into 12 segments all measuring 30° each. So Aquarius being the 11th sign of the zodiac begins its celestial measurement at 300°. All we need to do is add the 19° of which the MOON is positioned in Aquarius to get a total of 319°.

This number 319 shows up at some pretty important dates in the details of both Marilyn's childhood and adult life. Other than showing us what we need, the MOON, is also our mother and home. It also rules our neighborhood and stomach and our emotions, and it is also our personality and the public highlights of our life. So far, I found 3 separate important dates belonging to the MOON Number 319

They are,

  • On 9/13 in 1935, at age 10, Marilyn (as Norman Jean) enters an orphanage in Los Angeles, and her Sun measures 10° of Gemini.
  • On 9/13 in 1946, at age 20, Marilyn's divorced to James Dougherty was granted. Marilyn had Mars at 20° of Pisces
  • On 9/13 in 1953, at age 26, Marilyn makes her first live television debut on Jack Benny Comedy series. She had Jupiter at 26° of Aquarius

Here is still yet a few more ...

The Ascendants in our charts (determined by the time of day of our births) rules over our bodies as a whole; while each one of the 12 signs are assigned their particular parts.

For this example, however we are looking at Marilyn's body as a whole so we are considering her Leo Ascendant. Also let it be know here that Neptune is the planet that rules over the camera and Marilyn had Neptune in her 1st house rising at her Ascendant and we all know quite well how much the camera loved Marilyn Monroe.

Most people with Neptune on the Ascendant make good models and actors. But what is fascinating here is that Marilyn's Ascendant measured 133° total celestial longitude, and it was on 3/13 that a story broke about a nude calendar of photographs.

Now, While we are talking about photographs, I want to mention how two of Marilyn's photographers had their dates of birth living in her Star Numbers.

  • Marilyn's Neptune measured 142° of total celestial longitude, Photographer Eve Arnold date of birth is 4/21 in 1912
  • Marilyn's Mars measured 350° of total celestial longitude, Photographer Jock Carroll's date of birth is 3/05 in 1919

Taking note of the two separate years in which both of these photographers were born, they were both born long before Marilyn's 1926 birth. Was it part of their own destiny to be part of Marilyn's? I like to think so.

I hope you enjoyed my view on the life and destiny of Marilyn Monroe.  I'm still in the process of reading more about her life.  I'm sure there are more life event dates aligning to her Stars Numbers, so we just might have to do an up-date in the future. However,

Today the planet Mercury is 10° of Gemini and transiting Marilyn's own Sun at 10° Gemini.  Mercury is the planet that rules over words, numbers and people's names, so I thought it was timely and fitting to share with you the magic of Marilyn and her Star Numbers.
